A jet suction-type dredge is often the ideal solution for dredging relatively loose and free-flowing material. The ROHR-IDRECO jet suction dredges are electric driven (diesel/diesel-electric drives are optional), and our advanced automation and monitoring software, developed in-house, ensures the highest efficiency and the lowest possible energy consumption. Further benefits include reduced wear and tear on pumping equipment, a low carbon footprint, and minimal noise pollution.
The standard DRAGA dredge range up to a digging depth of 55 meters is built fully containerized to ensure low-cost transportation worldwide and allow delivery to inland (sand and gravel) mines and hydroelectric locations with often limited accessibility. Later relocation of dredge to other sites is facilitated through our iPlug-and-Dredge concept.

ROHR-IDRECO can install a measurement and visualization system to optimize the mining production. This is done using DGPS receivers, several sonar sensors (pressure, inclinometers, etc.) and a proprietary software system that measures the operating point of the suction head or grab. This virtual real-time system helps minimize any material left behind by the operator. In combination with the revolutionary ROHR-IDRECO iDredge system, the dredge can even be turned into a (semi) automatic and remote-controlled machine.
